EUFAULA —
The Ironhead Golf Booster Club is hosting a fund raising golf tournament at Fountainhead Creek Golf Course in Checotah on May 19 at 9 a.m.
“Come join us and help raise money for a great cause,” says a press release from the booster club.
Their mission is to see young Eufaula Ironhead golfers get a chance to learn the sport of golf with the benefit of proper equipment and instruction.
Everyone is welcomed to participate in the four-man scramble golf tournament. Along with the tournament, there will be food and door prizes.
A hole in one is rewarded with $1,000, but a hole in one on holes 3 and 18 are worth a new car, according to the press release.
Other contests are set up for cash prizes.
Tournament entry fee is $275 per team.

Jr. Sunbelt Classic, Medal Round
Arizona beat Colorado in Wednesday's championship, 5-2, for the state's first Jr. Sunbelt Classic title since 2008. Having joined the Sunbelt in 2009, Colorado had never qualified for the finals before this year.
