McALESTER —
A Clayton woman has earned national honors for her skills as an elk caller.
Lindsay Ross was crowned third in the National Vice Division of the 2012 Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Leupold World Elk Calling Championships.
The honors followed competition in Las Vegas that ended Feb. 4 as part of the RMEF’s annual convention and exposition. Ross competed with callers from 10 states to take third behind William Card of Nevada, who won first place, and Tandy Hulsey, New Mexico, second.
