WILBURTON — Class A seventh-ranked girls from Kiowa came into Saturday night’s regional championship game undefeated in the playoffs as they faced 13th-ranked Wright City at Wilburton. The Pitt 8 Conference Champion Cowgirls jumped out to an early lead in the game and never looked back.

Kiowa’s girls would shoot “lights-out” from beyond the 3-point mark in the first half with Addy Clift, Miranda Stiles, Christie Weeks and Jordan

The Cowgirls, who are just one win away from a berth in the state tournament, will face the champion from Region A at 6:30 p.m. on Friday in the winners’ bracket of the area tournament to be held at the McAlester Expo Center.
