McALESTER —
The Latimer County Courthouse in Wilburton was evacuated Thursday morning after a bomb threat was phoned in , according to Latimer County Sheriff Jesse James.
Following a search of the courthouse, workers were given the all-clear to enter the building near noon Thursday, according to James.
The sheriff said the bomb threat had been phoned in around 9 a.m. Thursday to the Latimer County court clerk’s office. He did not immediately have details of what was said in the phone available that he could publicly release as this article was being prepared for publication.
“Right now, we have the FBI handling it,” James said.
A previous report that another building in Wilburton was evacuated was a miscommunication, the sheriff said.
