Community center nominating period extended

McALESTER — The Grand Avenue Community Center Inc. has ended its nominating period Thursday for board of directors positions for president, vice president, secretary and board members.

An election will be held at the center, at 918 E. Washington Ave., on Oct. 13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Contact the Rev. Cecil Lee at 918-429-9670, the Rev. Anthony Washington at 918-426-1713 or Brenda Beed at 918-423-5685 to have a name placed on the ballot.

A community meeting will be held Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
