2 enter pleas, are sentenced in brutal Longtown attack

Two people who had been arrested in a brutal kidnapping and attack near Longtown in October have been sentenced for their parts in the assault.

Michael Dewayne Wilson, 27, of Grand Forks, N.D., and Sarah Anne Falis, 27, of Crowder, have been sentenced on kidnapping and robbery charges in the Oct. 14 attack in which a woman was kidnapped and a man was cut and beaten. A third victim in the case was also cut, according to the police.

Wilson pleaded no contest to conjoint robbery by force or fear, kidnapping for extortion, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license. He was sentenced to 10 years, with another 20 years suspended, in his June 3 appearance in Pittsburg County District Court.

Falis pleaded guilty June 10 to kidnapping for extortion, conjoint robbery by force or fear and misdemeanor obstructing an officer. She was sentenced to five years, with another 10 suspended.

Earlier, a third suspect in the case, Jose Mariea Gomez, 23, of McAlester, was sentenced to 10 years. He pleaded guilty in April.

A probable cause affidavit filed by OSBI agent Charles Mackey had outlined the allegations in the case.

Investigators alleged the incident occurred after Gomez, Wilson and Falis went to a residence in the Longtown area. Falis knew at least one of the alleged victims at the residence, according to court records.

Inside the residence, Gomez, Wilson and Falis took a wallet with $300 in cash, cell phones and car keys, the charges against the three alleged.

The kidnapping for extortion charge accused them of confining three people inside the residence for the purpose of extorting the cash and other valuables from them.

Also during the incident, two men inside were cut by a knife and one of them was severely beaten with a club, according to allegations in court document.

After the robbery, Gomez, Wilson and Falis took a woman from the residence when they left, according to allegations in court documents.

The two men who were beaten then drove to the home of a Pittsburg County deputy who lived in the area and were taken to the hospital in Eufaula, according to court documents.

The kidnapping victim was still with Falis when law enforcement officers contacted her later on the day of the incident.
