BREAKING NEWS — Early-morning crash claims Stuart man

A FATALITY COLLISION OCCURRED ON 033109 AT 1:50 a.m. 2 MILES SOUTH AND 2 MILES EAST OF CALVIN ON A COUNTY ROAD IN HUGHES COUNTY.

VEHICLE 1: 2000 DODGE DRIVEN BY KENNETH EUGENE LARABEE, WHITE MALE 37 YEARS OLD OF STUART. EXPIRED AT SCENE DUE TO MASSIVE INJURIES. WAS PINNED APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES, EXTRICATED BY CALVIN FIRE DEPT BY USE OF THE HURST TOOL.

WHAT HAPPENED: VEHICLE 1 WAS EASTBOUND ON COUNTY ROAD, RAN OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND STRUCK A TREE.

SEATBELTS: EQUIPPED / NOT IN USE

WEATHER: PARTLY OVERCAST SHORTLY AFTER THUNDERSTORM ROADWAY: WET
