Kilihoti welcomes guests at their monthly meeting

The Kilihoti Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met Oct. 18 at Angel’s Diner in McAlester for their monthly meeting. Chapter Regent Charleen Samuels opened the meeting with the ritual, the salute to the American Flag, the Preamble to the American Constitution and the American’s Creed.

Registrar Justine welcomed prospective member Nita Beshear to the meeting.

Carole Moore introduced Peggy Edmondson and Mary Kate Parris from the Osage Hills Chapter in Sand Springs.

Parris is Regent of her chapter and spoke about recruiting new members, how to retain members and ways to conduct chapter meetings to make them more entertaining and enjoyable.

Others present at the meeting were Pat Burger, Martha Gujda, Wilma Isom, Linda Collier, Dortha Lee Tucker, Nancy Downing, Jennifer Tarrant, and Cerita Morley.
