McALESTER —
On Monday, the Stuart Community Impact Panel met at the Stuart School Gym at 6:30 p.m.
According to the Community Impact Panel Chairman Dale Moser, community members were in positive spirits and pleased with the water pressure they are receiving from their Hughes County Rural Water District 2 system.
Moser said the community has reported that everyone in the district now has water and the Department Environmental Quality reported that they are now up to 18 pounds of pressure.
In recent months customers of RWD 2 have reported dirty water and little to no water pressure, some for as long as 30 days.
Moser said that the RWD 2 community felt before like they did not have a voice and now they feel as if they have been heard. Moser went on to say that the CIP appreciates OWRA, DEQ and everyone that has had a hand in the restoration effort of the water system.
