McALESTER —
The McAlester Fire Department extinguished a fire at a plastics plant in the Steven Taylor Industrial Park Thursday.
The department received a fire call at 11:28 a.m. Thursday from Berry Plastics at 1 Edison Drive in McAlester.
“The fire was in one of the machines they’ve got in their assembly lines,” said McAlester Fire Chief Brett Brewer.
The factory estimated damage at approximately $1,000, Brewer said.
