Kalyn Free, Steve Bruner wed in Tulsa ceremony

Labor Day Weekend 2009 saw a celebration of love and mixing of Native American cultures and traditions as Kalyn Free married Steve Bruner at Post Oak Lodge in Tulsa.

Three hundred and seventy-five guests participated in a surprise-filled three-day extravaganza to celebrate the marriage of Free, a member of the Choctaw Nation, of Red Oak, and Bruner, a member of the Muscogee Nation, of Broken Arrow.

Free is a graduate of Red Oak High School, Southeastern Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She is the daughter of Loyce Bell and the late Forrest Bell of Red Oak.

Bruner is a graduate of Broken Arrow High School and retired from the Tulsa Police Department K-9 Unit. He is the son of the late Bim and Leda V. Bruner of Broken Arrow.
