Lake Eufaula State Park to light holiday tour this week
The lights come on at Lake Eufaula State Park on Friday for the annual Holiday Light Tour and will be on every night until Dec. 31 from dark until 10 p.m.
Co-sponsored by the Friends of Lake Eufaula State Park, Lake Eufaula State Park and the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, and with the help of private and corporate sponsors, the Holiday Light Tour is growing by leaps and bounds every year. Drivers view the lights driving through on Saturday nights in December, or on a hayride ($1 per person).
The light tour is funded by donations and all money goes back into the Light Tour to make it bigger and better.
The lights start on Highway 150 at the entrance to the Deep Fork Campground and continue on into the campground.
Santa Claus will be at the Deep Fork Nature Center on Dec. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. handing out candy canes to all the children and stuffed toys to the first 100 in line.
The Friends of Lake Eufaula State Park will be having a bake sale and photos with Santa will also be offered for a fee (this too goes towards new light displays).
For more information call the Deep Fork Nature Center at 918-689-4607 or email naturecenter@ecewb.com.
