McALESTER (AP) — A two-vehicle collision in Pittsburg County has killed a 14-year-old boy.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Jacob C. Allen of McAlester died in Saturday’s collision on U.S. Highway 270 at Bache.

The collision occurred at 7:37 a.m. Troopers say a pickup truck driven by the victim’s father, Charles W. Allen, was northbound on Bache Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle that was westbound on U.S. 270.

The patrol says the victim was ejected from the pickup and died at the scene from massive injuries. Charles Allen was treated and released for minor injuries at the McAlester Regional Health Center.

Troopers say the victim was not wearing a seat belt.

Meanwhile, one person is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Okmulgee County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Henry L.C. Young, 59, of Okmulgee, died at the scene of Friday’s crash from massive injuries.

The collision occurred at 5 p.m. on Oklahoma Highway 16 near County Road 100 in Okmulgee County. Troopers say the victim’s car veered left of the center line and was struck by an oncoming truck.
