McAlester girl wins December on 2013 calendar

McALESTER — Lauren Mellor, of McAlester, won first place in her age division (third through fifth grade) for the Beautification 2012 Oklahoma Trash Poster Contest.

There were a total of 13,729 contest posters entered.

Her entry will be printed in the 2013 calendar distributed by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for the month of December.
