McALESTER — A popular fast food location will soon close for remodeling.

McDonald's in Tandy Town will close for a few months to undergo some major changes, according to DeWayne Sampson, store owner.

“We plan to close the end of this month,” Sampson said.

The time frame of the project is still not confirmed he said.

“Unfortunately we will be closed for few months, we don’t know exactly how long it will take.”

He said the new store will have larger dining area and an improved play area.

Sampson owns four other McDonald's including one in the McAlester Walmart. His other locations are in Wilburton, Stigler and Eufuala.
