One hurt in turnpike collision

A one-vehicle accident on the Indian Nation Turnpike sent a man to McAlester Regional Health Center late Thursday afternoon, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Lloyd Seagroves, 68, Owasso, was driving his 2005 Chevrolet southbound on the turnpike near mile marker 43 when he left the road, striking the center median and overturning three times. His vehicle came to rest on the shoulder of the highway.

The wreck happened at around 4 p.m. Thursday.

Seagroves was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to Trooper David Vasquez.

The driver was transported by Atoka County Emergency Medical Service to MRHC with head, trunk, internal and arm injuries.
