McALESTER —
The McAlester High School class of 1954 will mark its 58th year since graduation by holding a reunion at the Hampton Inn at 711 South George Nigh Expressway on Oct. 5-6. Very few scheduled events have been planned in order to allow graduates and local friends to have plenty of free time to socialize and to visit old haunts. Three events that have been scheduled, however, include:
• A luncheon at the Whistle Stop Bistro, in North McAlester, on Oct. 5;
• A tour of the Scottish Rite Masonic Center following the luncheon; and,
• An evening of small talk, food and beverages, and reminiscences in the Hampton Inn’s first floor conference room on Oct. 6.
Local classmates, and individuals having friends in the class of 1954 who wish to attend the reunion functions, may contact Betty Long Talley, at 918-423-4992, for more information. Contact should be made not later than Sept. 28.
