McALESTER —
A McAlester teen pleaded no contest Friday in Pittsburg County District Court in a burglary case.
Kelli R. Fender, 18, was originally charged in January with two counts of second degree burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit second degree burglary. She pleaded no contest to the conspiracy charge and the two burglary charges were dismissed.
According to court records, Fender conspired with her 16-year-old boyfriend in the early morning hours of Jan. 24 to break into two different vehicles that were parked on East Choctaw Avenue in McAlester. Wallets were taken from the two vehicles, court documents indicate.
After pleading no contest, Fender was fined $350 and sentencing was deferred for one year.
