McALESTER —
A man from Red Oak died Monday in a trucking accident in Latimer County.
Edwin Wilson, 50, was driving a 1995 International truck at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday in Latimer County, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Wilson was driving westbound on High Bridge County Road, less than a half of a mile east of the county line, when the truck departed the roadway, the report states. Wilson over-corrected, causing the truck to depart the roadway to the left and hit a ditch, the report states.
The truck rolled over and came to rest upside down, pinning Wilson in the vehicle for about 30 minutes, according to the report.
Wilson died at the scene of the accident due to massive injuries, the report states.
The accident was investigated by OHP Trooper Jason Waits, of OHP Troop D in McAlester.
