McALESTER — A dedication date for the Joe Tannehill Memorial Bridge was announced during Monday’s meeting of the Pittsburg Commissioners.
The commissioners met for their regular meeting at the Pittsburg County Courthouse.
Mason Lodge 550 is sponsoring the dedication of the former Coal Creek Bridge as the Joe Tannehill Memorial Bridge, according Clem Pepper of Mason Lodge 550.
“We are planning to meet at 2 p.m. at the bridge for the dedication ceremony, Pepper said.
He said the commissioners were also invited to attend a special luncheon before the dedication ceremony.
Also attending Monday’s meeting was Commission Chairman Gene Rogers and District 3 Commissioner Ronnie Young.
Pittsburg County Commissioners meet every Monday at 9 a.m. in the county commissioner’s conference room at the Pittsburg County Courthouse. The meetings are open to the public.
