McALESTER —
A McAlester woman is facing multiple drug charges, including making meth, in Pittsburg County District Court.
On Tuesday, Amber Renee Sweet, 22, was charged with manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine), maintaining a place for keeping or selling a controlled substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana).
The District 18 Narcotics Task Force interviewed Sweet and searched her residence. During that search, authorities allegedly found numerous items “commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine,” court records state.
Sweet was arrested and remains in custody at the Pittsburg County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond. She was unavailable for comment at presstime today.
If convicted of these crimes, Sweet faces up to life imprisonment.
