McALESTER —
The families of Whitney Leigh Cox, Denison, Texas, and Type Forest Melton, of Indianola, have announced their engagement.
The wedding will be Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Bella Vista Ranch in Kentuckytown, Texas.
Whitney is the daughter of Cecil and Linda Cox, of Denison, and Tyde is the son of Kenneth and Loutreca Melton, of Indianola.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Lee and Katherine Cox, of Denison, Connie Fallon, of Bells, Texas, and the late Charlie Fallon, of Sherman, Texas. Grandparents of the groom are the late Edward and Ida Melton, of Eufaula, and the late Henry and Winnie Chisholm, of Anadarko.
Whitney Cox is a 2004 graduate of Pottsboro High School, in Pottsboro, Texas, and a 2009 graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, in Durant, earning a bachelor’s degree of science in Mathematics and is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
Tyde Melton is a 2005 graduate of Indianola High School and attended Eastern Oklahoma State College, in Wilburton.
She is employed at Treasure Trunk and Bridal Treasures in Sherman, Texas.
He is self-employed as a private contractor.
