McALESTER —
MPower Economic Development board members are considering reducing the number of members who serve on the board.
The group talked about cutting the number of members by two — from 11 to nine — during the group’s Wednesday meeting at the Holiday Inn Express in McAlester.
In addition to cutting the number of members, the board also discussed the possibility of adding five more members, who would serve as an advisory committee to MPower.
“We have people coming up on term limits and people wanting to move on, in an advisory capacity,” MPower Board President Janet Wansick said.
