The following felony cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court June 30- July 7. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include any court costs assessed.

Misdemeanor
The following misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court June 30-July 7. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include any court costs assessed.
• Richard Michael Snow, 30, McAlester, pleaded guilty on July 6 to domestic abuse – assault and battery, and assault and battery. Sentencing was suspended for one year for domestic abuse – assault and battery and 90 days for the second offense of assault and battery. Sentences are to run consecutively. He was also fined $100 for both offenses and was ordered to undergo 52 weeks of domestic abuse counseling.
• Johnny Hood, 29, Wilburton, pleaded guilty on July 7 to three counts obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/ false pretenses. He was sentenced to one year and sentencing is to run concurrently with sentencing in another case. He was also fined $50.
• Cody L Edwards, 26, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty on July 6 to driving while impaired and following too closely. He was fined a total of $110.
• John Virgil David Pickard, 26, Jones, pleaded guilty to petit larceny on June 6. He was sentenced to five years, suspended, he was fined $100 and was ordered to pay restitution.
• Benny Dale Williams, 67, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty on July 6 to public intoxication. He was fined $10.
• Perry James Dycus, 24, Savanna, pleaded guilty on July 6 to breaking and entering a dwelling without permission. Sentencing was suspended for one year and is to run concurrently with sentencing in another case. He was fined $100.
• Dycus also pleaded guilty on July 6 to trespassing after being forbidden and unlawful carrying of weapon. Judgment and sentencing were deferred six months, to run concurrently with sentencing from another case. He was fined $100 for both trespassing after being forbidden and unlawful carrying of weapon.
• Micah Peterson, 21, Krebs, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, aggravated, transporting an opened container of beer, and failure to carry insurance/security verification form. Sentencing was suspended for one year and he was fined as follows: $200 for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, $50 for transporting an opened container of beer, and $25 for failure to carry insurance/security verification form. He was also ordered to complete 48 hours of community service, DUI school, and a drug and alcohol evaluation.
• Janie Ellen Nichols, 39, Powderly, Texas, pleaded guilty on July 2 to driving without a drivers license. She was fined $50.
• Bradley Scott Suterfield, 29, McAlester, pleaded guilty to larceny of merchandise from retailer on June 30. Judgment and sentencing were deferred two years, to run concurrently with sentencing from another case.
• April Thompson, 29, Savanna, pleaded guilty on July 6 to threatening to perform an act of violence. Sentencing was deferred for six months and she was fined $100.
• Galen Clunn, 45, Hartshorne, pleaded no contest to driving motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Sentencing was deferred for one year and he was fined $100. He was also ordered to undergo DUI school and a drug and alcohol evaluation.
• Mahana Lynn Wallen-Pickard, 23, McAlester, pleaded guilty on July 6 to petit larceny. Judgment and sentencing were deferred six months, she was fined $100 and was ordered to pay restitution.
• Dennis D. Lumley, 22, McAlester, pleaded guilty on July 6 to domestic abuse – assault and battery, and malicious injury to property under $2500. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for two years for each offense. Sentencing is to run concurrently. He was also fined $100 for each offense and was ordered to undergo 52 weeks of domestic abuse treatment.
• Charles E. Parsons III, 25, McAlester, pleaded no contest on July 6 to domestic assault and battery in presence of a minor. Judgment and sentencing were deferred two years and he was fined $100. He was also ordered to undergo 52 weeks of domestic abuse counseling.
• Michael Kiely Ploch Jones, 27, McAlester, pleaded guilty on July 6 to possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year for each offense and are to run concurrently. He was also fined $100 for both possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Thomas R. Zozula, 24, Haileyville, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, aggravated, driving with license suspended, and transporting an opened container of beer on June 29. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for six years, to run concurrently. He was fined $200 for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and $100 for driving with a suspended license. He was also ordered to undergo DUI school, and a drug and alcohol evaluation.
• Mark Anthony McCartney, 48, Eufaula, pleaded guilty on July 6 to driving with a suspended/canceled/revoked license, and failure to carry insurance/security verification form. Judgment and sentencing were deferred one year and six months in total for both offenses, and he was fined $50 for driving with a suspended/canceled/revoked license, and $100 for failure to carry insurance/ security verification form.
• David Wayne Smith, 46, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty on July 6 to driving with a suspended license. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for one year and he was fined $100.
• Clinton Buck Caldwell, 32, Muskogee, pleaded no contest to domestic abuse – assault and battery, on July 6. Judgment and sentencing were deferred two years, he was fined $250 and is to undergo 52 weeks domestic abuse counseling.
• Mark Owens, 20, Kinta, pleaded guilty on July 6 to driving under the influence by a person under 21. Judgment and sentencing were deferred two years, he was fined $100, and he is to undergo 100 hours of community service, DUI school, and a drug and alcohol evaluation.
• Doris Cheatwood, 48, McAlester, pleaded guilty on July 6 to actual physical control of vehicle while intoxicated. Judgment and sentencing were deferred two years, he was fined $100, and he is to undergo 100 hours of community service, DUI school, and a drug and alcohol evaluation.
• Steven Kyle Mick, 40, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty on July 6 to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, aggravated, failure to maintain security, and unsafe lane use. Judgment and sentencing were deferred five years and he was fined $500 for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and $10 for unsafe lane use. Failure to maintain security was dismissed.
• The charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/false pretenses was dismissed for Sheila Ann Sargent, 35, Stigler, on June 30.
• The charge of driving with a revoked license was dismissed for Virgil Lee Allen, 50, McAlester on July 6.
• The charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/false pretenses was dismissed for Misti Evans Hawkins, 38, Krebs, on June 30.
• The charge of driving with a revoked license was dismissed for Katie Denise Strain, 21, McAlester on July 6.
• The charges of drivers license to be carried and failure to carry insurance/ security verification form were dismissed for Sarah Kay Weder, 23, Woodward, on July 2.
• The charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed for Glen Dennis Emery, 55, Indianola, on June 30.
