Gospel singing class slated

The Shape-Note Gospel Singing School has scheduled a free class beginning Monday and running through Aug. 3 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Tohwali United Methodist Church near Broken Bow.
A light supper is set to be served at 5 p.m. each evening and classes will be taught in shape-note reading, timing, harmony and song directing.
Instructors include Charles and Ann Towler, Brianna Daugherty, Cleveland, TN, Derek Meler, Chad Hunt, Krystle Hubbard, T.J. Holmes and Thomas Williston.
Directions are as follows: From the four-way stop in Broken Bow, go west on Highway 3 for two miles. Turn southwest at Steel’s Junction and go four miles to the church. Watch for signs pointing to the church.
