McALESTER —
Recording artists Matthew West and Mandisa inspired a crowd estimated at 3,800 individuals to make a joyful noise during their joint concert at the Southeast Expo Center in McAlester.
The two Grammy-nominated singers, along with their outstanding bands, “brought it” to the city Sunday night for their “The Heart of Christmas” concert that spanned three hours.
They both rang the rafters at the Expo Center with their soulful performances, which helped benefit the Ryan McAfee Memorial Scholarship fund.
Those attending the event came from not only the McAlester area, but from around the entire state and beyond, including some who traveled from as far away as Arkansas and Louisiana.
