McALESTER —
A reward is being offered for information leading to arrests in the burglaries of a local store where more than $800 in incense was stolen.
According to McAlester police reports, approximately $400 worth of Syn Incense and $400 of Gods of Aroma incense were reported stolen from Funky Munky on Aug. 27.
Both incense brands are known to be synthetic marijuana.
McAlester police Det. Capt. Gary Wansick confirmed incense was among property also stolen early Monday morning. He said the police department is awaiting further details from the store owners on what else is missing.
On Aug. 27 and early this Monday, the Funky Munky was burglarized, store owner Jayna Marlene Mordecai-Beene said.
The burglars were spotted on video surveillance cameras, she said.
During Monday’s burglary, she said the burglars wore masks and appeared to be the same burglars caught on video tape Aug. 27.
“We are offering a $500 reward,” she said , for information leading to the arrest of those who committed the crime.
