Stormy Tuesday in forecast for eastern Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY — Thunderstorms are in the forecast for a large part of east and southeast Oklahoma as a cold front pushes through the state.

The National Weather Service says hail and damaging winds will be the main threat late Monday and into Tuesday.

Highs are forecast to be in the 60s and 70s before the cold front spreads over the region. Lows are to be in the 20s and 30s by Wednesday night.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman shows a slight risk of severe weather for much of southern and eastern Oklahoma, including Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The bulk of the weather threat will be east of Interstate 35.

The center says all but northeast Oklahoma is at risk of thunderstorms.
