Talihina man injured in accident on State Highway 63

McALESTER — A Talihina man was injured in a car accident on State Highway 63 on Sunday, according to a report from the Oklahoma State Highway Patrol. 

According to the report, Talihina resident Rockwell Farris, 48, was traveling west bound on State Highway 63 one mile west of Muse in LeFlore County. 
The report states that when Farris failed to negotiate a curve, his vehicle departed the road then jumped a county road, landed in a ditch and caught fire.
He was transported to St. Francis in Tulsa by Eagle Med where he was listed in stable condition with head, internal and external trunk injuries and arm and leg injuries, the report states.
It was not known if he was wearing his seat belt, according to the report.
