Pistol Pete joins Santa Claus, and others, at McAlester's Christmas Parade

McALESTER — The Pittsburg County Chapter OSU Alumuni Association will participate in this year’s McAlester’s annual Christmas Parade with an OSU float featuring Pistol Pete.

“This is the first year participating in the Victorian-themed Christmas parade,” said Bonnie Strickland association member.

The parade will be Thursday and is sponsored by the Mclester Main Street Association.

    Tornadoes and severe weather have torn through a large part of Oklahoma today (May 20,2013) and have devastated Moore south of Oklahoma City hitting two schools and Moore's hospital.

    Severe weather is possible for Pittsburg County and is under a tornado watch until 10 p.m. this evening.

    McAlester/Pittsburg County Director of Emergency Service Trent Myers gives video tips on how to weather the storms.
