McALESTER —
Three men from Wilburton and Lexington were injured Friday night after the two pickup trucks they were in collided near Seminole.
Jamie Powell, 44, of Wilburton, was flown by medical helicopter to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in critical condition following the 6:32 p.m. wreck. Shawn Perry, 35, and Danny Cooksey, 45, both of Lexington, were treated for minor injuries, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The report indicates Powell was northbound on a county road 10 miles northeast of Seminole when he failed to yield from a stop sign and was hit by a pickup driven by Perry. Perry’s truck, which had been westbound on State Highway 99A, hit Powell’s truck on the passenger side door, according to the report.
