Contract Awarded for Road Repairs in Latimer County

McALESTER — OKLAHOMA CITY — A contract was awarded this month for road repairs in Latimer County, Sen. Richard Lerblance and Rep. Brian Renegar recently announced.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the project involves resurfacing and other road works on SH-82, 6.4 miles north of US-270 extending north.

Sen. Lerblance (D- Hartshorne) said the State Transportation Commission awarded just under a $3 million contract on the project to T. McDonald Construction, Inc. The Eufaula company was the lowest of six bidders for the job, said Rep. Renegar (D- McAlester).

Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed within ten months.
