McALESTER —
Something new is planned for Robbers Cave State Park this weekend.
“We’re havng a haunted hay ride,” said Tony Johnson, the Latimor County Extension Educator for Agriculture and 4-H.
Johnson said the Latimer County 4-H and Friends Of Robbers Cave State Park have joined together to offer “a scary, haunted hay ride through the deep, dark forest of Robbers Cave State Park.”
Rides cost $3 each and last an estimated 20 to 30 minutes.
Johnson said, those wanting to take a hay ride should go to the park’s riding stable, or simply follow the signs to the hay ride’s sight at the park.
Rides are set to start at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Staurday, the last ride leaving around 9:30.
Robbers Cave State Park is Northwest of Wilburton.
Johnson said all proceeds will go to fund Latimer County 4-H events and activities and Friends Of Robbers State Park projects.
