McALESTER — The 2012 March for Babies Kick-Off will be held on Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Kiamichi Techonolgy Center.

“During the Kick-Off we will be handing out fund raising supplies and talking about the walk,” said Emily Thompson community director for the Oklahoma Chapter Eastern Oklahoma Division of the March of Dimes.

The kick-off event is open to the pubic and the goal is to help raise money for the March of Dimes through the March for Babies Event to be held on May 12 at Rotary Park. “The walk is about two miles and it’s lots of fun,” said Thompson.

The Kiamichi Technology Center is located at 301 Kiamichi Drive.
