McALESTER —
The following felony and misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court Aug. 29 - Sept. 6. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences and sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include all court costs.
Felony cases
• Bretton L. James, 21, McAlester, pleaded no contest Aug. 31 to an amended charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was fined and received a deferred sentence of seven years. Charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, use of a surveillance camera when committing a felony and felon in possession of a firearm were dismissed.
• Amanda M. Ruff, 25, McAlester, pleaded guilty Sept. 2 to a charge of second degree burglary. She was fined and received a five-year suspended sentence.
Misdemeanor cases
• Vanessa Harrelson, 26, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty Aug. 29 to a charge of driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked. She was fined $130 and received a deferred sentence of one year.
• Robert R. Nelms, 42, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 29 to a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was fined $130.
• Cody S. Shull, 25, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 29 to a charge of driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked. He was fined $335 and received a one-year suspended sentence.
• Chance B. Wagoner, 20, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 29 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $80.
• Jonathan H. Layman, 19, Tulsa, pleaded no contest Aug. 30 to charges of obstructing an officer and larceny of merchandise from a retailer. He was fined $360 and received a deferred sentence of one year.
• Megan Westfall, 25, McAlester, pleaded no contest Aug. 30 to a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was fined $130.
• Brandon S. Wilson, 26, McAlester, pleaded no contest Aug. 30 to a charge of larceny of merchandise from a retailer. He was fined $55.
• Buckley McCullough, 34, Clayton, pleaded no contest Aug. 30 to a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fined $130.
• A charge of driving without a valid driver’s license was dismissed Aug. 30 for Manuel Ojeda, 48, of Eufaula.
• A charge of obtaining merchandise by bogus check was dismissed Aug. 30 for Tiffany M. Wells, 29, of McAlester.
• A charge of obtaining merchandise by bogus check was dismissed Aug. 30 for Misti D. Lewis, 40, of Alderson.
• Josea Ramos, 21, Albuquerque, N.M., pleaded guilty Aug. 30 to a charge of public intoxication. Ramos was fined $80.
• Jose A. Quiñonez, 35, Dumas, Texas, pleaded guilty Aug. 30 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $80.
• Livo Chavez, 27, Oklahoma City, pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to a charge of driving without a driver’s license. He was fined $85.
• Chester J. Smith Jr., 41, Idabel, pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to charges of driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked and failure to dim headlights. He was fined $380.
• William J. Urzup-Serrano, 25, McAlester, pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to charges of driving without a driver’s license and failure to wear a seat belt. He was fined $85.
• Fredy A. Hernandez, 19, Quinton, pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to charges of driving without a driver’s license and operating a vehicle with defective equipment or unsafe conditions. Hernandez was fined $130.
• Kendall W. Williams, 45, Eufaula, pleaded no contest Aug. 31 to a charge of burning in drought emergency conditions. He was fined $80 and received a deferred sentence of 30 days.
• Shirley Roberts, 59, McAlester, pleaded no contest Sept. 1 to three counts of petit larceny. She was fined $240, ordered to pay $900 in restitution and received a deferred sentence of one year.
• Robert Allen, 41, Kiowa, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to a charge of driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked. He was fined $630 and received a six-month suspended sentence.
• William M. Ranallo, 48, McAlester, pleaded no contest Sept. 2 to a charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery. He was fined $250 and received a deferred sentence of three years.
• Joyce J. Coyle, 45, McAlester, pleaded no contest Sept. 2 to a charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses. She was fined $130, ordered to pay $299 in restitution and received a deferred sentence of one year.
• Angel Martinez-Gonzales, 26, McAlester, pleaded no contest Sept. 2 to charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving damage and driving without a driver’s license. He was fined $360, ordered to pay $56.90 in restitution and received a deferred sentence of six months. A charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol was dismissed.
• Jackie E. Albaugh III, 34, McAlester, pleaded guilty Sept. 2 to a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was fined $130.
• A charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed Sept. 6 for Alissa K. Stacy, 23, of Dewey.
• A charge of obtaining merchandise by bogus check was dismissed Sept. 6 for Lana J. Cartlidge, 58, of Savanna.
• Cassie K. Killingsworth, 20, McAlester, pleaded guilty Sept. 9 to a charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery. She was fined $130, ordered to complete 52 weeks of domestic abuse counseling and received a deferred sentence of one year.
New felony cases
The following new felony cases were filed in Pittsburg County District Court Sept. 1 - 8.
• On Sept. 1, April D. Stanton, 36, of Wilburton, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, larceny of merchandise from a retailer, public intoxication and petit larceny.
• On Sept. 2, Kristi Q. Astafan, 40, of Alderson, was charged with embezzlement.
• On Sept. 2, David K. Tipton, 43, of McAlester, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm after a felony conviction and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On Sept. 2, Jeremy M. Champion, 32, of Haileyville, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and transporting an open bottle or container of liquor.
• On Sept. 2, Michael G. Hendrix, 22, of McAlester, was charged with cultivation of a controlled substance, conspiracy, child endangerment and maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances.
• On Sept. 2, Lawrence W. Lowe, 52, of Indianola, was charged with cultivation of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a firearm after a conviction or during probation and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On Sept. 2, Kayce L. Lowe, 22, of Indianola, was charged with cultivation of a controlled substance, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances, child endangerment and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On Sept. 2, James T. Hendrix, 19, of McAlester, was charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On Sept. 2, Courtney G. Kingsley, 18, of McAlester, was charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On Sept. 6, Christopher M. Wacker, 45, of McAlester, was charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
• On Sept. 6, George H. Pinkney, 53, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, in the presence of a minor; possession of firearms after former conviction of a felony; maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On Sept. 6, Crystal B. Pinkney, 26, of Oklahoma City, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, in the presence of a minor; maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On Sept. 6, Jessica Pinkney, 19, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, in the presence of a minor; maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On Sept. 7, Perry H. Black, 25, of Tulsa, was charged with first degree burglary and domestic abuse — assault and battery.
• On Sept. 7, Michael J. Lardi, 30, of Haileyville, was charged with domestic abuse — assault and battery.
• On Sept. 8, Wayne R. Christman, 40, of McAlester, was charged with first degree rape and two counts of lewd molestation.
• On Sept. 8, Wayne H. Patterson, 40, of Krebs, was charged with three counts of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting an officer and public intoxication.
• On Sept. 8, Ramon S. Fernandez, 41, of Haileyville, was charged with domestic assault and battery resulting in great bodily harm.
