McALESTER — The eagle has landed, right here in McAlester. On Sunday while traveling home from Krebs, McAlester resident Terri Estrada was able to photograph a bald eagle as it perched on a branch.

“I was coming home from visiting my grandmother on Sunday morning from Krebs — just shy of the stop sign turning left towards the (McAlester) high school onto Industrial,” Estrada said.

“I looked out the window searching for deer that water at the pond, and saw this majestic bird.”

“ I quickly took photos with my cell phone thinking he would fly away I went home to get my camera and to my surprise when I got back he was still there Estrada said.
