(Regrding Jeffrey Matthews execution) With these affidavits one would think this needs more investigation before it proceeds. Were these affidavits available before to previous jury trials??? Probably not as one juror has submitted his as well. Let’s see: an ex-employee from the district attorney’s office, and ex-deputy, as well a juror! What could possibly be their motive for submitting their affidavits after all these years and 2 jury trials? His alleged accomplice said he didn’t do it — but he doesn’t say who did? He can’t very well do that because he would then be labeled a snitch and spend the rest of his time in protective custody.
Based on the information in your article, they need to take a closer look before they proceed with this one.
