As Thanksgiving approaches again, have you been counting your blessings? Following are a few that come to mind that I am thankful for, some that we often overlook:
For our troopers that patrol our highways because they are always there when needed.
For the taxes I have to pay because it means I have an income.
For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.
For windows that need cleaning because it means I have a home.
For the parking spot that I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking.
For the huge heating bill because it means I am warm.
For the person in church who sings off key because it means I can hear.
For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear
For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means I am alive.
For my church, my pastor, my many true friends and my family, especially a wife who has stood by me over the years.
For my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who loved me enough to die for me on that old rugged cross that I might be forgiven for my sins and saved from eternal hell.
Have a happy Thanksgiving.
