Letter to the editor: Traffic light 'a tad silly'

McALESTER — Editor:

Let me see if I’ve got this straight: I run the risk of knocking my front end out of line if I exceed 15 mph on our city streets; on any given day, I’m in danger of being stopped on suspicion of drunk driving, as I’m trying to dodge the potholes in the streets, and the city is going to spend $130,000 for a traffic light?

Does this seem just a tad silly to anyone else, or am I somehow missing the point?
