McALESTER — A weight loss challenge held recently in downtown McAlester helped 11 people lose a total of 170 pounds and 77 inches in eight weeks, according to the organizer of the event.
The contest called the “X-Treme 10 Biggest Loser Challenge” was organized by PJ Johnson, owner of X-treme 10 Nutrition and Fit Club, said the top three “Biggest Losers” received cash and prizes donated by local businesses.
“Studio 23 Photography gave away a free photo session and album to the winner and Stylist Nikki Luna, from Salon 7 in Quinton, donated a free cut and style,” Johnson said.
She said another contest called the “New Year’s Resolution Challenge” is set to start on Jan. 7. Registration is $40 for the 12- week challenge and weigh-ins will be on Monday nights at 7 p.m. after the free Fit Camp she holds at her studio at 6 p.m.
“The ‘Big Reveal’ will held on March 29th,” Johnson said.
“Dave's Fitness will be matching the winner’s cash and Studio 23 will be giving away another photo session and album to the winners.”
