Portia and Chris Wickware, of Arpelar, and Mike and Shelia Strange, of Talihina, announce the marriage of daughter, Talisha Anne Strange, of McAlester, to D.J. Blankenship, the son of Tommy and Patricia Blankenship Valdez, of McAlester, and Wayne and Debbie Blankenship, of Haileyville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sally and J.R. Denton, Dorothy and W.D. Strange, of Yanish, and the late Meredith Jackson.
She graduated from East Central University in 2009 with a Bachelor in Business Marketing. She is a manager at United Medical.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Donald and Laverne Blankenship, of Solonia, Christine Quaid, of Wardville, and the late Jack Quaid.
He graduated from Tulsa Welding School in 2006 and is employed at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant.
The ceremony will take place at the LovelyLady in Atoka on Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Brother James Collins will officiate.
