Samantha Curliss and Lee Humphreys announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
Curliss is the daughter of Patricia and the late Charles Curliss, and the granddaughter of the late Dorothy and Bert Spears, and the late Margaret "Tiney" and Jim Curliss, all of Hartshorne.
She is a 1997 graduate of Hartshorne High School. In 2002 she graduated with Kappa Delta Pi and Native American honors from Northeastern State University. She is employed by Kiamichi Economic Development District of Oklahoma.
Humphreys is the son of Shirley and Jack Cutler, and Ed Humphreys, all of Tuskahoma. He is the grandson of the late Urias "Snooks" and Audrey Humphreys, of Whitesboro, and the late Thomas and Annie Griggs, of Tuskahoma.
He is a 1991 graduate of Buffalo Valley High School. He is employed by Latimer County District 2 and is devoted in his ministries in the Free Will Baptist faith.
The ceremony will be held Dec. 5, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartshorne, with Pastor David Walker officiating.
