McALESTER — Tommy and Sandy Middleton, of McAlester, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a gala of family and friends at the McAlester Southeast Expo Center on Saturday. They plan to continue celebrating their anniversary with a family trip to Fraser, Colo.

Tommy and Sandy Middleton were married Jan. 27, 1962, in the home of Pastor Andy Bristow of North Town Church of Christ.

Tommy Middleton is a retired truck driver and Sandy Middleton retired from Steidley & Neal Law Office after 25 years of service. The Middletons are members of the Richville Baptist Church.

The Middletons have two children: Jerry Middleton, and wife Cora; and James Middleton, and wife Amy, all of McAlester. They also have five grandchildren: Teri Middleton, of Oklahoma City; Aaron Middleton, of McAlester; Delaney Barnett, and husband Colby, of McAlester; Emily Brooks, of McAlester; and Will Middleton, of McAlester.
