Robin Hugle dies at 63

McALESTER — Robin Hugle, 63, of Damon Valley, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at McAlester Regional Health Center.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne with the Rev. Clint  Pope officiating. Burial will be at Mountain Station Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.

Born Feb. 27, 1949, in Kingston, Pa., she was the daughter of William John and Jennifer Harriet (Cicenas) Hughes. She grew up and spent most of her adult life in Oklahoma City.  She graduated from U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City in 1968 then attended nursing school at St. Anthony’s Nursing College.

She married Jay Hugle on Feb. 22, 1971, in Oklahoma City. She worked as a registered nurse at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City for a number of years.

She and her husband moved to Damon Valley in 1977 and she continued her nursing work at McAlester Regional Health Center as a surgical and recovery nurse until her retirement in 2012, after 30 plus years of nursing.

She was an excellent bowler and bowled in league play here for many years, recording several 300 games. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartshorne.

Survivors include her husband, Jay Hugle, of the home; one daughter, Andrea Hugle, of Damon Valley; one son, Jason Donald Hugle, of Moore; grandchildren, Jay Austin Hugle and Addalyn Grace Bonham.

Also, one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Cindy Hughes, of Oklahoma City; one sister, Holly Wallace, of Oklahoma City; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerri and Joe Mordecai, of Hartshorne, Cathy and Gary Baxter, of California, Gordon and Jerri Hugle, of California, and Florence Walker, of California; numerous nieces and nephews, and her co-workers as special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Bonnie Hemmerling.

Pallbearers will be Brian Flener, Daniel Flener, Glen Flener, Travis Smith, R.L. Wallace and Jimmy Rager.
