Rockie Duff

McALESTER — Rockie Duff, 54, of Krebs, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Tulsa.

Family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at Chaney-Harkins Chapel.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel led by Deacon Bill Anderson.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church in Krebs with the Rev. Kevin Willis officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery in McAlester. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.

Born March 27, 1958, in McAlester, he was the son of Louis Charles Jr. and Rosemary (Watson) Duff. He graduated from McAlester High School in 1976.

He worked at the family business, Isle of Capri restaurant, in Krebs.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing guitar, writing songs and poetry. He enjoyed looking for arrowheads. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching westerns and grilling outdoors.

He married Julie Brewster on June 17, 1977, in Sherman, Texas.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife, Julie, of the home; mother, Rosemary Duff; daughter, Megan Duff, of the home; son, Todd Wilson and wife, Cindy, of Hartshorne; grandson, Damien Wilson.

Also, brother, Steve Allen Giacomo, of Krebs; father-in-law, Eugene Brewster and wife, Mary, of McAlester; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Duff, of McAlester, and Gina Allen and husband, Gary, of McAlester; brother-in-law, Tom Brewster and wife, Rae-dean, of McAlester.

And, aunts and uncles, RoseAnn Robertson and husband, Don and family, of Krebs, Lee Rogers and husband, Terry and family, of McAlester, Thelma Williams and family, of McAlester, Chassie Ledford, of McAlester, and Asti McFarland, of McAlester; special cousin, Vickie Muhs and family and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Charles Duff Jr.; brothers, Robbie and James Duff; paternal grandparents, Louis “Big Daddy” Charles Duff Sr. and Minnie “Big Mama” Duff; mother-in-law, Mary Fann Brewster, and niece, Autumn Dawn Duff.

Pallbearers will be Steve Giacomo, Ricky Southard, Christopher Duff, Christopher Ayers, Todd Wilson, Anthony Duff, Trenten Duff and Tom Brewster.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Brewster, Rob Stephens, Joe Ledford, Gary Allen and Blaine Fields.
