Daisy Mae Smith dies at 68

McALESTER — Daisy Mae (Tucker) Smith, 68, a Wardville resident, died June 8, 2012, in Coalgate.

Family night will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brown’s Chapel with the Rev. Bob Graham officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Born Jan. 10, 1944, in McAlester, she was the daughter of Roy Tucker and Margaret (Williams) Tucker. She attended Harpers Valley and Kiowa schools. She married Joe Mike Smith on Nov. 8, 1964, in Harpers Valley. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Mike Smith, of Wardville; brothers, Tommy Tucker and wife, Wilma, of Kiowa, and Leroy Tucker and wife, Janie, of Midwest City; sisters, Nancy Hatridge and husband, Pete, of Harpers Valley, and Sarah Rager and husband, Jack, Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Also, sisters-in-law, Stella Tucker, of Kiowa, and Omarie Little, of Wardville; brother-in-law, Loin Smith, Dover, Ark., and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Tucker; mother and stepfather, Margaret (Tucker) and Fred Carviger; brother, Carl Tucker; sisters-in-law, Thelma Smith and Effie White, and brother-in-law, Bennie Little

Pallbearers will be Pake McEntire, Jim Rhyne, Todd Rhyne, Sam Rhyne, Stanley Shields and Harold DePasse.

Honorary pallbearers will be Virgil Ennis, Paul Hooe, Jesse McIninch, Mike Anderson and Clyde Weeden.
