McALESTER —
Richard H. Williams, 76, of McAlester, died Nov. 16, 2012, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bishop Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev. J.T. Carnell will officiate. Arrangements are under direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
He was born on December 20, 1935, in McAlester to Dewey and Eddie Mae Griffin Williams.
He attended schools in the Peaceable community. Richard worked in construction most of his life.
He lived in Enid for a while working construction and also worked at the United States Army Depot and construction around the McAlester area. Richard was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing. He married Sylvia Williams .
He is survived by his three sisters, Isabella Reynolds, of McAlester, Mary Little, of Oklahoma City and Betty Cathey, of Fort Worth, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Eddie Mae Griffin; his wife, Sylvia Williams, and four brothers, Joe Williams, Ambrose Williams, Bill Williams and Harold Williams.
Pall bearers are Kimble Henry, Jim Henry, Earl Henry, Billy Henry, Rowdy Griffin and Glenn Williams.
