McALESTER — Mary Evelyn (Dyer) Wilson, 84, of Bennington, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in Durant.

Funeral services were Thursday at First Baptist Church of Bennington with Brother Clark Harp officiating. Burial was at Bennington Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home of Durant.

Born Dec. 2, 1928, in Pittsburg, she was the daughter of John Covington and Vernia Caroline (Park) Dyer. She married Woodrow Wilson on Nov. 8, 1949, in Pittsburg.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bennington. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and especially her cats.

Survivors include her daughters, Theda Wilson Robinson and husband, Gary, of Bennington, Annette Terrell and husband, Johnny, of Bennington, and Laquita Wilson and friend, Rick Anderson, of Bennington.

Also, sons, Steve Wilson and wife, Jamie, of Hugo, and Randy Wilson and wife, Brenda, of Durant; sisters, Bonnie Patterson, Grand Prairie, Texas, Vera Woods, Dallas, Tressie McCormick, Mountain View, Mo., and Pauline Ellison and husband, Bill, of Wesley; brother, Vincent Dyer, of Wesley; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vernia Dyer; husband, Woodrow Wilson, and son, Gary Wilson.

Pallbearers were Tyler Minyard, William Minyard, Ethan Mitchell, Andy McDonald, James Carlile and Cainen Littrell.
