McALESTER — Danny Lynn Johnson, 58, of McAlester, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at McAlester Regional Health Center.

Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Chaney-Harkins Chapel.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at White Chimney Cemetery in Stuart with Jason Dunn officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.

Born Sept. 1, 1954, in McAlester, he was the son of Roy and Barbara (Jones) Johnson. He grew up in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School with the Class of 1972. He worked as an electrician for the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant and had several certifications in electrical engineering.

He enjoyed the cowboy life and in his youth, he loved to rodeo and especially bull ride.

Survivors include his son, Austin Johnson, of McAlester; daughter, Amanda Dunn and husband, Jason, of McAlester; special friend, Pam Tucker, of the home.

Also, brother, Dennis Johnson and wife, Vinita, Phoenix; sisters, Roberta Klusak, of Tulsa, Sandra Bonino and husband, Jimmy, Spring, Texas, and Lana DeFrange and husband, Dana, of Krebs.

And, three grandchildren, Asher Dunn, Andon Dunn and Camdan Wood-Johnson, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Barbara Johnson; sister, Annetta Vogel, and two baby brothers.
