Thunder at 4 p.m.: Durant developing as a rebounder

NORMAN — Kevin Durant has been on a tear in the rebounding department. Three games into the season, the 6-foot-10 small forward is averaging 14.3 boards per game. His career high for a season is eight per game, which he set last year.

Durant's new focus on rebounding has given opposing coaches something new to worry about and proven some nay-sayers wrong.

"He's really turned into a really good all around player," Atlanta coach Larry Drew said. "A lot of people, when he first came into the league, questioned his toughness. As he has grown in this league, I think that issue is out the door. He has turned into a really tough kid."
